How to set up and use export and delete your data in fylt

What it does

fylt's Data & Privacy settings give the account owner two direct controls over their business's data: request a full export — clients, leads, projects, quotations, invoices, payments, documents, and support tickets — or start an account deletion. Both actions require your password to confirm, so they can't happen by accident.

Getting started

• Open Settings → Data & Privacy to see both the export and delete-account options.
• Click Request data export to generate a full bundle of your business's records; you'll get a download link by email.
• If you ever need to close your account, use Delete account and confirm with your password — this is a deliberate, hard-to-reverse step.

Key settings

• Data export: owner-only, generates a complete bundle of your business records for download.
• Account deletion: owner-only, requires your password and immediately signs out every active session on the account.
• Confirmation required: both actions ask for your password before proceeding, as a safeguard against accidental clicks.

Day to day

• Most businesses only use these tools occasionally — for a personal backup, a compliance request, or when closing an account.
• An export runs immediately and emails you a secure download link once it's ready.
• Requesting deletion signs your account out everywhere right away, ahead of the account being fully closed.

Make the most of it

• Download and store your export somewhere secure — it contains your complete business and client records.
• Only the account owner can request an export or deletion — if you're a team member and need one, ask your account owner.
• Think of account deletion as a one-way door: request an export first if there's any chance you'll want your data later.
